Keep Moving: Physiotherapy for People with MS

on behalf of MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY OF MALTA, THE

Living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) can make everyday movement difficult. For some people with MS, physiotherapy is not simply about improving mobility, it can help them maintain independence, manage physical difficulties and continue doing the things that matter to them.

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Malta provides subsidised physiotherapy to members who need this essential support, including people who are housebound or experiencing significant difficulties with walking.

The cost of providing this support can reach €1,000 – €1,500 per member each year. As a small VO, we rely heavily on donations and fundraising to continue providing this service. Through this project, we aim to raise funds towards physiotherapy for people with MS in Malta over the next four months.

Every donation, whatever the amount, can help us continue giving someone access to the professional support they need to keep moving, maintain their independence and live their life as fully as possible.

Your support can make a real, practical difference to someone living with MS. Help us help , thank you.

About the project

MS is a lifelong neurological condition that can affect movement, balance, strength and independence. While every person's experience of MS is different, physiotherapy can play an important role in helping people manage physical difficulties and maintain their mobility.

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Malta provides subsidised physiotherapy to members who require this essential support. This includes members who are housebound or who experience significant difficulties with walking and everyday movement. For someone living with MS, regular physiotherapy can mean more than simply attending an appointment. It can support mobility, help maintain physical function and, importantly, help a person remain as independent as possible.

The cost of providing this service is approximately €1,000-€1,500 per member each year. For our small VO, this represents a significant financial commitment. We do not want a person's ability to access this support to depend on whether they can afford the full cost themselves.

This four-month fundraising project aims to raise funds towards continuing our subsidised physiotherapy service for members living with MS in Malta.

Every contribution helps. A small donation can become part of something much bigger, helping someone continue to move, maintain their independence and face life with MS with greater confidence. By supporting this project, you are not simply donating towards physiotherapy. You are helping us provide practical support to people living with MS and reminding them that they are not alone.

Together, we can help people with MS keep moving and keep living their lives to the fullest.
