CHEMO BAGS OF HOPE

Gender-based violence isn’t always visible but it is happening, right here in Malta. You may have seen the recent stories on Lovin Malta, women in Malta who survived trafficking, abuse, and unimaginable violence. At TAMA, we work quietly but consistently to support women and girls affected by this kind of harm. Offering emotional support, practical help, and a safe place to begin healing. We’re now raising €5,000 to keep our frontline services running. This fund will help us: • Sustain our team who provides trauma-informed emotional support • Cover basic operational costs (digital tools, messaging platforms, etc) • Continue expanding and employing survivors • Expand outreach and training with institutions Beyond direct support, TAMA actively collaborates with the Malta Police Force, the Ministry for Education, and the University of Malta to build awareness and deliver training on gender-based violence. We believe change must happen on both personal and systemic levels. Your support keeps this work going. Every contribution means we can be present when someone finds the strength to reach out. The Guiding for All Fund aims to ensure that every girl has the opportunity to benefit from the life-changing experience of Guiding, regardless of her or her guardians’ financial circumstances. The Malta Girl Guides is a volunteer-led organisation that works hard to keep participation in Guiding as affordable as possible. However, for some members, costs such as annual membership fees, uniforms, activities, and camps can still present a challenge. Through this fund, the association will be able to provide financial assistance to girls who may otherwise struggle to participate fully in Guiding activities. Donations may support a range of needs, including membership fees, the purchase of uniforms, and participation in events, activities, and camps. Requests for assistance will be submitted by volunteer leaders and reviewed through a transparent process by a small committee within the association. This ensures that support is allocated fairly and reaches girls who genuinely need it. By contributing to the Guiding for All Fund, donors will help ensure that no girl misses out on the friendships, adventures, and personal growth that Guiding offers simply because of financial barriers. Even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference in allowing a girl to fully experience Guiding.

Food for All, a PU Malta initiative, supports volunteers collecting fruits, vegetables and packaged foods through the Żomm Tarmix program and distributing them to people in need, reducing waste, promoting solidarity, and ensuring access to nutrition.

The MHREC project aims to expand youth outreach in Malta and Gozo through a social media campaign, non-formal learning activities, volunteer training, and enhanced learning resources, fostering human rights education and engagement.
